2. INCOMING 9th Graders***from Pershing MS and Lewis MS will have s2 grades of 8th grade checked for eligibility. Students from other middle schools may need to provide report card.***
Students (Incoming 9th-12th grade) who have under a 2.0 GPA in academics or citizenship are eligible for a one-time use of a probationary period. This one-time use is for the entire 2025-2026 school year. Students will be required to meet with an administrator and complete a SDUSD probationary form. SDUSD Athletic Probationary Period Contract

2025-2026 Athletic Clearance will be completed ONLINE, No In-Person Submission of Forms
Athletic Director Completes the Final Step of the Online Clearance Process
Student-athletes-make sure your online athletic clearance says “pending.” AD Clark will check all forms, registration, grades and LOP’s.
Fall Clearances will begin on July 21, 2025
Winter Clearances will begin on October 27, 2025
Spring Clearances will begin on January 26, 2026
Athletes who have completed all steps will be cleared by the Friday at 4:00pm prior to their programs tryouts or start date.

Online Athletic Clearance
- Visit AthleticClearance.com
- Watch quick tutorial video
- Register. Parents/Guardians register with first and last name, a valid email username and password. You will be asked to type in a provided code to verify you are human. If this step is skipped your account will not activate.
- Login
- Select “Start Clearance Here!” to start the process.
- Choose the School Year in which the student plans to participate. Example: Football in Sept 2023 would be the 2023-2024 School Year. Choose the School at which the student attends and will compete for. Choose Sport ***Select all sports interested in participating***
- Complete all required fields for Student Information, Medical History, Parent/Guardian Information and Signature Forms.
- Be sure to click SAVE at the bottom of each page before moving on.
- Athletic Director will clear all athletes during the clearance period for each season. Fall Season-Late July, Winter Season-Early November, Spring Season-February
- To be cleared, athletes MUST have a 2.0 non-weighted GPA and 2.0 Citizenship to participate in contests and scrimmages.

YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE UNTIL YOU ARE CLEARED-AD CLARK IS THE FINAL STEP & CLEARANCES ARE TYPICALLY COMPLETED THE WEEK PRIOR TO EACH SEASON START DATE.
Patrick Henry High, City Conference, and C.I.F. Rules and Regulations
All students will clear for eligibility through administrative personnel, not the individual coaches. Eligibility processing will be done at times to be announced for each season of a sport. When athletes have completed all steps of the eligibility process, their coaches will receive clearance from the Athletic Director. Please allow 24 business hours to process and update clearances.
Only students who complete the clearance process will be allowed to participate.
You must have a 2.0 unweighted grade point average AND a 2.0 citizenship average on your last report card; summer school academic grades will be averaged in when determining athletic eligibility. Citizenship grades cannot be made up in summer school.
***If necessary, incoming 9th graders with under a 2.0 GPA on Spring 2025 Semester report card need to complete the probationary contract
You must be living in the Patrick Henry High School attendance area, the feeder attendance area or attending Patrick Henry High on an approved program (NCLB, VEEP, Choice, or Seminar). Transfer students will be issued clearance if they meet the above requirements, but may be required to sit out for a period until authorized by CIF.

S1P1 August 12-September 20 (Student becomes eligible or ineligible September 30)
S1P2 September 23-November 1 (Student becomes eligible or ineligible November 12)
S1 November 4-December 20 (Student becomes eligible or ineligible January 13)
S2P3 January 7-February 13 (Student becomes eligible or ineligible February 24)
S2P4 February 18-March 28 (Student becomes eligible or ineligible April 14)
S2 April 7-May 29 (Student becomes eligible or ineligible Fall 2025)
